Bishop Auckland Sub Aqua Club has been announced as the winner of the Heinke Trophy 2003.  An award first made in 1958 by the British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC) in recognition of a branch to further the interests of its own members and of the BSAC.

To date only thirty three other clubs have received the prestigious award, and we are the first branch in the North East of England.  It is a fitting tribute to our branch following several years of hard work and improvement.
